The Nylocomp idler is fitted with four (4) sealed
6206 2RS bearings each with a dynamic load rating
of 19500 N. This together with a large 33mm diameter
shaft improves weight distribution and substantially
reduces axle deflection which can cause premature
bearing failures.

and substantially reduces axle deflection which can

All Nylocomp idler components are manufactured using
state of the art CNC machines. The shafts are precision
machined to 29.975mm ensuring an exact bearing fit,
this eliminates bearing vibration and contamination
between the bearing and the shaft.
Nylocomp choose to use Solid Steel instead of Bright
Drawn Steel Shafts, this prevents
hair line cracks in
|
 |
the shaft which can allow corrosion to contaminate
the bearings.
Nylocomp manufacture their idlers from a proprietary
polymer “YIGA-P” complete with steel shafts
and bearings. This combination substantially reduces
idler weights to 2/3 the rotating mass of most good
quality steel idlers up to 800mm roll face.
When the idler is assembled, the roll face is CNC
machined at 2000rpm to an almost true centre (TIR
0.08mm)
The
Nylocomp Shell is manufactured from YIGA-P, which
has a very low co-efficient of friction meaning |
 |
that most conveyed materials will not stick in wet dry
and/or dusty applications.
YIGA-P
is a self lubricating, in the unlikely event of bearing
failure, the belt will slide over the idler with minimal
wear to the belt or the idler. Due to YIGA-Ps self lubricating
properties and low
co-efficient of friction, if an idler stands, noise
and heat generation is very low.
The Nylocomp YIGA-P Shell is extremely hard wearing,
far out performing steel and conventional poly idlers.
The 12-16mm wall thickness ensures that there is no
comparison in aggressive high speed, high tension conveying
applications.
|
 |
Due
to the extremely hard wearing YIGA-P roll face and
unique idler design, if a bearing fails, recycle the
idler by simply removing the sealing arrangement and
replace the bearings.
YIGA-P has a similar impact strength to steel and
combined with our substantial 12-16mm shell thickness
our custom built impact idlers are designed for extreme
applications.
The YIGA-P sound absorbing properties make it ideal
for noise sensitive applications. |
