Pressure Filtration Belts

Formed in 1995, BSF Australia has built a reputation for supplying the highest quality,
lowest cost of ownership, pressure filtration fabrics and Belt Filter Press spare parts
throughout Australasia. This has been achieved by working closely with Belt Filter Press OEM’s, technical weaving mills and plant operators.

Pressure Belts (Woven)
All our belts have been woven on heavy duty looms. This means that very high wire tensions and larger wire diameters can be used in the weaving process.

The end result is a very stable fabric with a high tensile strength.

A range of 9 different pressure belts, one to suit every application.

Our Pressure belts are woven using the highest quality Polyester wires and or a combination of

The Seam

Easy to install
Strong and robust with a high tensile strength
Chosen specifically for the application be it high tension, Chemical or abrasion resistance.

The Patented Stabilising Strip
When a seam is installed, we secure the clipper wires with an epoxy stabilizing strip. The epoxy resin runs away from the belt seam in a zig zag pattern. The scraper blade is then picked up by the (epoxy resin) and carried over the clipper wires (preventing clipper seam damage and is then lowered onto the belt at the other side. The epoxy resin also stabilizes the belt at its weakest point (the clipper seam) and prevents the clips from pulling free.

The Edge

All our belts are cut accurately with a heat knife and then a thin layer of doping is applied to ensure a strong reliable edge that will not fray.

5080
Belt Press Fabric for Abrasive Applications

The 5080 fabric was specifically designed in Europe for abrasive belt press duties.

From the picture above you will notice that the cloth has a combination of polyester (blue) and polyamide (white) yarns with the white yarns standing proud of the cloth surface. The cloth is specifically woven, so that in extremely abrasive conditions the polyamide yarns have a higher contact area with the abrasive solids being pressed on the belt, thus taking the brunt of the wear. Polyamide wires were chosen for their superior abrasive resistant qualities.

The combination of Polyester and Polyamide wires gives the belt a high tensile strength, limited or no stretching and makes it extremely tough and resilient in abrasive applications.

Stabilising Strip

Benefits of our Stabilising Strip

Stabilises the belt at it’s weakest point (the clipper seam)
Prevents the clips from pulling free.
Lifts the scraper up over the clipper seam and down on the other side.
Promotes longer belt life and less down time.
